SUMMER RACING FOR 5” and PRO-SPEC
ABOUT
This race is open to everyone, beginners and experienced and run in collaboration with Adam Wilson from HertsFPV. For this event, we are running two classes of racing, so you can race 5” and/or Pro Spec. Each class will be scored separately with heat specific classes in each round of racing for both 5” and/or ProSpec. Pilots competing in both classes will be given reasonable time between heats to prepare for either class.
OUR OBJECTIVES
WareFPV and HertsFPV are both actively seeking to grow drone racing in the South East England and encourage beginners and experienced pilot to attend our races. We’ll have several experienced pilots attending this event and can assist beginners where needed. The event is intended to be relaxed and focused on enjoyment, with plenty of races for everyone attending.
RACING CLASSES
VENUE
For 2026 WareFPV have secured a new dedicated outdoor race venue located at Thundridge Cricket and Football Club (2min drive from our existing practice track and whoop track). The new race venue is a local village Sportsfield with Indoor Pitting and Toilet Facilities. Power is available on site with priority given to running the event and timing equipment. Please bring your own power supply for charging your race packs. Pitting is also available outside for those look to enjoy the sunshine. (TRACK LOCATION)
INSURANCE
All pilots will need BMFA insurance.
Race Cost £15 per pilot – with your second racing class FREE OF CHARGE.
Format Open and ProSpec classes: 2 minutes plus 30 seconds heats. Lap times will be fastest 3 lap consecutives. No Lap Cap. All pilots will progress to Finals (ABCD etc) and all finals will be 3 races for each.
Battery Max Charge of 4.35v per cell, if you are found to have over charged your batteries you may be asked to leave.
VTX Analog or HDZero preferred but we can accommodate DJI & Walksnail in a specific heat if needed (please inform us if you are going to fly DJI/WS).
