The BIRD title has flown across the pond, but not without the most closely fought finals in BIRD history. Latvia's ReeFPV has his sights set on knocking Nightwing off the top spot. But will the UK be able to step up and win it back? With stiff competition from Italy, Germany, Poland and others, this year will no doubt be an incredible competition!

From speaking with loads of pilots from BIRD events across the years, the overwhelming majority had a great time. But we also had some fantastic feedback and thoughts on ways to make it even better this year.

════════════ TEAM COMPETITION ════════════
New for this year we are introducing a team competition, where the final positions of pilots score points and contribute to their teams score.
You can enter BIRD solo or become part of a team of up to 3 people. Team members can be from your local club, your country or just because you all like eating cake (like me).
Extra points are awarded for teams with a uniform or theme for their fancy dress.

════════════ INSURANCE ════════════
All pilots will require insurance for this event.
If you are already a member of the BMFA or have BTW Gold Membership you are ready to go.
If you are travelling internationally, you are covered by the BMFA sporting agreement with other countries.
If you are a member of an alternative drone insurer, unfortunately this is not sufficient. This is because other insurers (that we have found) do not cover competitive events.
You can either:
